EMLC operate a City & Guilds Approved Centre for the 7301 Certificate and Diploma for Specialist Leaders of Behaviour and Attendance of Children/Young People. This qualification has been developed to enable the growing number of specialists who work in this field to find approaches in addressing positive behaviour and full attendance in their own setting. These specialists work in a variety of settings: in mainstream or special schools or units; in primary or secondary schools and in other support services. All have a leadership role in behaviour and attendance as part of their work or aspire to such a role.

The NPSL-BA was developed as a 12 month programme to provide training through local authority cluster groups and supported by national training materials. The diploma was developed in conjunction with this project and candidates are able to work concurrently with this project (or independently of each other) to achieve the necessary accreditation.
