EMLC is responsible, on behalf of the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children's Services for the graduation stage of the redesigned NPQH in all parts of England.
This involves organising graduation boards for trainee head teachers to attend at the end of their NPQH journey. We timetable graduation boards at a range of venues across the country. Once you have been to a board, the outcomes are moderated. You will then receive notification of the outcome and be provided with some written feedback.

Successful trainee heads are eligible to access the National College's Head Start provision.
Timing your board
Until 31 March 2009 there was a transitional arrangement allowing those with a place on the programme to be appointed to a first headship. However, from 1 April 2009 only those who have successfully completed NPQH will be able to be appointed to their first substantive headship position in a maintained school. Please bear this in mind when booking your graduation board.
