Recruitment of NPQH Graduation Board Assessors |
As
you may already be aware EMLC has been awarded a national contract by the
National College for School Leadership (NCSL) to run the Graduation Centre for
the redesigned National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). We will
be responsible for managing the NPQH graduation board process for the whole of
England on behalf of NCSL.
The graduation board process is currently being piloted by NCSL and we are now in a position to commence the recruitment campaign for NPQH graduation board members.
NPQH graduation board members will be responsible for undertaking the crucial task of identifying those trainee heads who are ready for headship and should therefore be awarded the NPQH. The board will be responsible for conducting structured interviews.
The board will be made up of 3 members who will be trained and accredited through NCSL, and will include serving headteachers.
I have attached details of EMLC's terms of engagement and also the role profile for a graduation board member.
There will be four NPQH graduation ‘windows’ per annum. The graduation boards will be held across the country in order to minimise the travel for board members and trainee heads. We are seeking a commitment from board members to be available for a minimum number of days per annum, as follows;
If you are interested in becoming an NPQH Graduation Board Member please complete the Application Form and return it to Liz Pearson at liz.pearson@emlc.co.uk. Please apply as soon as possible. We will review the first round of applications at the end of November. Any applications received after that date will be considered on an ongoing basis.
If your application is successful we will contact you to invite you to attend the training programme arranged by NCSL. The dates for these training events are highlighted in the application form.
Sara Penter, Head of Service (EMLC) and Liz Pearson, Programme Manager (NPQH) will be leading the delivery of the NPQH Graduation Assessment provision. If you would like to find out more please contact either Liz on 07909 984390 or at liz.pearson@emlc.co.uk or Sara on 07764 988708 or at sara.penter@emlc.co.uk .
